Boil water using a pot or microwave.

Stovetop Method: Bring a small pot of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and let it cool for 30 seconds.

Microwave Method: Fill a microwave-safe bowl with water and heat for 2-3 minutes until the water is hot (but not boiling). Let it cool for 20 seconds before placing the mouth guard in.

STEP 2:

Soften the mouth guard in hot water.

Submerge the mouth guard in the hot water (whether from the pot or microwave) for 60 seconds. This softens the material, preparing it for molding.

Remove the guard using tongs or a slotted spoon and let it cool for a few seconds.

STEP 3:

Bite down and create a detailed impression.

Place the mouth guard in your mouth, centering it on your upper teeth. Bite down gently for 60 seconds, pressing the guard against your teeth and gums to mold it snugly.

Use your fingers to press the mouth guard into place while biting down.

Step 4:

Harden the mouth guard by cooling.

Remove the mouth guard from your mouth and immediately place it in cold water for 30 seconds. This helps to firm the gel and lock in the custom fit.
